In today's fast-paced world, sugary treats and beverages are engrained in our daily lives. The average American eats 17 teaspoons of added sugar each day which is in addition to the 15 teaspoons that is naturally found in the food/beverages we consume. From candy to fruit juice or condiments to salad dressings, sugar is difficult to avoid and often irresistible. Though it may temporarily satisfy our taste buds, in the long-term, excessive sugar consumption can be detrimental to our health. In this blog post, we will explore the various health effects of eating too much sugar and why it's essential to be mindful of our sweet tooth.
