Yah, Christmas time!!! But this picture also eerily resembles some of the postures people are exhibiting these days and if you are one of those people, you are creating for yourself a whole world of aches and pains!
The reason: Our posture dictates how much stress is applied to our muscles and joints, furthermore is dictates which joints and muscles all that stress gets applied. As long as we maintain good posture, the larger muscles and joints of the body bear the load and carry their "fair share". With poor posture, the "little guys" (the more vulnerable joints and muscles of the body) are forced to burden the load and when that happens the result can be muscle spasms, headaches, back pain, and pinched nerves (just to name a few).
